Monthly Prayer Prompts for Children

Lately in my middle minutes, my brain has been spinning into worry. Whether it's replaying the last conversation I had, dissecting my daughter's latest act of defiance, or harboring discontentment about something the Lord has said no to, my mind was busy.

After being freshly convicted of my sinful thoughtlife, I resolved to replace selfish worry with prayer for my children. But, after a few days of effort, I found my mind wandering back to the same ruts of selfishness and fear. I knew I needed an aide to keep my mind focused on prayer and the benefit of praying scripture instead of what just popped into my brain.

I had created this resource a couple months ago to be hung up in the nursery rooms at church. It bounced back into my mind and I edited it to make it a tool to be printed off and kept handy around the home. I pray it blesses you as you seek to lift your children up in prayer to our heavenly Father. He has compassion on us (Psalm 103:13), knows our frame (Psalm 103:14), and loves us with everlasting steadfast love (Psalm 103:17). Let’s turn to him in our middle minutes!
